Alec joined the CBU baseball staff as an assistant coach in July of 2023 and served as an assistant coach for one year. Before that, Alec served as the Director of Offensive Development at Campbell University in Buies, North Carolina. Prior to joining the Campbell staff, Olsen was an assistant coach at Bakersfield Baseball Academy for two years. During that time he also worked as an assistant strength coach at GrindHaus Strength and Conditioning. Olsen had a lengthy collegiate career as a middle infielder that began at Phoenix College from 2015-17 where he helped the Bears reach the D2 Juco NJCAA World Series. He then played at Taft College from 2017-18 and rounded out his career at Post University from 2018-20 where he graduated with a degree in sports management.
Brian was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. Brian developed a love of baseball from an early age. He played on various little league teams growing up, and continued to play at Bakersfield High School, and then Bakersfield College. During Brian’s time at BC he won various awards including first team All-State California JUCO, and MVP. While attending BC, Brian was drafted by the Kansas City Royals. Brian joined the Kansas City Organization in 1992. In 1992 he played the outfield for the Eugene Emeralds, had to sit out the 1993 season due to injury, and played with the Emeralds again in 1994. In 1995-1996 Brian played with the Wilmington Blue Rocks. While playing with the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 1996, the team won the Carolina League Championship.
After retiring from professional baseball, Brian returned to Bakersfield where he opened a screen printing/embroidery and sporting goods business. Brian continues to have a passion for the game of baseball. He supports many local teams and over the years has developed strong relationships with both coaches and players in the area. Brian and his wife Anna have three energetic and growing boys and enjoy spending their weekends on the baseball fields watching them play.

Professionally, Coach Reed is a high school teacher at North High. He teaches behavior intervention, and
taught computers, English, and Special Education in the past. He taught 8 years at Taft Union High
School where he was also a varsity baseball head coach for 5 years. He has taught 5 years at North High
where he also coaches varsity football, QBs and OLBs.
Anthony has been married 10 years to his incredible wife Hali and they have two sons, Vance 9, and Finn
4. He loves working with kids and teenagers and helping them grow academically, emotionally, spiritually,
and athletically. Coach Reed also enjoys working out, camping, hiking, and listening to audiobooks.
