Coach Hunter was born and raised in Bakersfield and played baseball through college. He has played for Independence High School, Bakersfield College and is currently playing professionally for the Bakersfield Train Robbers. He has coached for 4 years and has been the JV head coach at Independence for the last 3 years. He also coached for 2 other club teams located in Bakersfield.

Juan Gonzalez is a dedicated fitness professional and educator with deep roots in Bakersfield, California. Growing up locally, Juan developed a passion for sports early on, particularly baseball. He played at Bakersfield College before transferring to California State University, Bakersfield, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science. This laid the foundation for his career in fitness and coaching.
Juan began his professional journey with A3 Sports Performance, where he worked as a group fitness instructor and speed/agility coach. His passion for coaching quickly expanded into education, and in 2020, he earned his Physical Education (P.E.) teaching credential from Point Loma Nazarene University. He followed this achievement with a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in 2022, solidifying his commitment to shaping young minds.
He has worked as a high school P.E. teacher and strength and conditioning coach in San Jose for three years, gaining valuable experience in education before returning home to Bakersfield. Now, Juan serves the community as a junior high P.E. teacher, where he continues to inspire the next generation of athletes and students.
In addition to his teaching career, Juan has been an integral part of the local baseball scene since 2016, coaching various teams at both the high school varsity and junior varsity levels. His diverse experience as both a coach and teacher allows him to connect with students and athletes of all ages, fostering a love for fitness and sports.
With a strong commitment to his community, education, and sports, Juan is a role model who continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of those he teaches and coaches.
Coach Boren was raised in Bakersfield and played baseball in the community from his youth through the collegiate level. He played for Stockdale High School, Bakersfield College and California State University of Bakersfield. He has coached baseball for 14 years, including Bakersfield College (2011-2012), CSUB (2013-2014), South High (2016), Centennial High (2017-2018) and has been the head varsity coach at Frontier High School since 2019. Brandon and his wife, Kelsey have been blessed with 2 children, Braydon and Abigail.
