Coach Trace is a native of Bakersfield, CA, he spent his playing days at Centennial HS, Bakersfield College, and Avila University. Professionally, Trace is the US Sales Manager for GEO Drilling Fluids. He also serves as a Board Member for Californians for Energy and Science. Trace is beyond blessed by a beautiful wife Jackie, and two sons, Jacob, and Andrew. Coach Trace loves to share the life changing gift of Jesus Christ!
I am privileged to serve as Senior Pastor at RiverLakes Community Church. I lead a gifted and motivated staff, and make disciples alongside some of the most incredible people on the planet. Not to mention the awesome privilege of communicating the Gospel message from the Scriptures each and every week. Outside of this, you can find me with my beautiful wife (Alicia) and amazing kids (Isaiah, Elliana, Jada and Abigail).

Coach White grew up in the community he serves, playing multiple sports including baseball for various recreational leagues, travel/club organizations, and all-star teams. Coach White played high school baseball at Centennial (Bakersfield) and college baseball at UCLA. He coached high school baseball for 12 years including as head varsity coach at South High School (2010-2014) and Frontier High School (2015-2019) before stepping away to focus on his own children. Coach White is currently a high school Special Education teacher. Garett's wife, Brittany and
the game of baseball and mentoring young men. His desire is to be obedient to Jesus by saying “yes” to serving His kingdom however that may be.
Richard Young was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. Richard attended Garces Memorial High School and Bakersfield College, where he played football for both schools. After leaving Bakersfield College, Richard studied plant science At California State University Fresno, where he met the love of his life, Lisa. Together Richard and Lisa have three children, Richard IV (12), Gabby (10) and Max (7). Professionally, Richard is the Vice President of Field Operations at Hronis, Inc.
Brad Newburg was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and eventually migrated to San Diego where he graduated with a Bachelors in Science from San Diego State University. It was while attending SDSU that he met the live of his life and soul mate Christy and the two have been married now for over 15 years. Together they have 2 children, Elijah and Annabelle.Brad found early success in his career after college in the broadline foodservice industry but felt a calling in 2014 to return home to Bakersfield with his new family to start a new career as the Vice President of Trinity Safety Company. Little did Brad know thay God brought him home to help him find his way back to the Lord in 2016.In looking back on his life Brad said, “I had known the Lord my whole life but just recently did I start walking in His presence, and what a walk it has been! It is now my priority to follow Jesus as a Man of God wherever he may lead me and be a disciple who makes disciples for Christ in all that I do." Brad joined Black Gold in 2023 because he enjoys being in the company of those who love the Lord, and who love to disciple others to go deeper in there walk with the Lord, especially those investing in the youth.
Brad is a currently an active board member of the Influencers of Bakersfield Discipleship Ministry, an active board member of a non-profit called Nobody Fights Alone, which raise money to helps families impacted by pediatric medical emergencies; and is an active member at Valley Baptist Church.
