Played college ball at Chapman University, Taft College, and Miami University in Ohio before a knee injury ended his playing career. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in sports leadership and management.
In 2014, Packer gained his first coaching experience at IMG Academy. Packer impressed the coaches there enough that they helped him get a graduate assistant coaching job at DeSales University in 2015. He stayed there two years before accepting an assistant coaching position at Post University 2017. Packer coached at Post unit the Baltimore Orioles hired him in late 2019.
Packer was scheduled to be the development coach for the 2020Delmarva Shorebirds until the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. He was fundamentals coach of Delmarva in 2021 and manager of the FCL Orioles in 2022. Packer took on a new role in 2023 as Complex Coordinator of Instruction located at the Orioles’ spring training site


Coach Kris is from Bakersfield, California he graduated and played at Frontier High School, and then went to Howard Junior College in Big Spring Texas. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 16th round,and then played for one year with the Braves, and was traded to the Detroit Tigers. Kris is now a free agent as of March and is planning on signing with a new team and playing in the spring of 2024. Kris enjoys going golfing with his friends and brother in his spare time.




Alec joined the CBU Baseball staff as an assistant coach in July of 2023 and served as an Assistant Coach for one year. Before that, Alec served as the Director of Offensive Development at Campbell University in Buies, North Carolina. Prior to joining the Campbell staff, Olsen was an assistant coach at Bakersfield Baseball Academy in Bakersfield, Calif. for two years. During that time he also worked as an assistant strength coach at GrindHaus Strength and Conditioning. 

Olsen had a lengthy collegiate playing career as a middle infielder that began at Phoenix College (Phoenix, Ariz.) from 2015-17 where he helped the Bears reach the D2 Juco NJCAA World Series. He then played at Taft College (Taft, Calif.) from 2017-18, and rounded out his career at Post University (Waterbury, Conn.) from 2018-20 where he graduated with a degree in sports management. 

Olsen is originally from Bakersfield, California
